Cardiac Rehabilitation
An important part of Northwest Health - Porter's heart care is helping patients return to the activities they enjoy. The multidisciplinary team of physical therapists and nutrition and exercise specialists work together to provide a customized approach that meets each patient's needs.
Northwest Health - Porter is proud to be certified through the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), the nationally recognized benchmark for quality and outcomes.
Three Phases - One Goal
- Phase I - Inpatient rehabilitation will begin while you're still in the hospital.
- Phase II - Monitored outpatient rehabilitation starts anywhere between 1-4 weeks after discharge. It begins with an individual assessment in which we define your goals and design a program to assist you.
- Phase III - Porter Adult Fitness offers a cardiac fitness program to anyone who wants help getting or staying fit. This program offers access to a variety of equipment, including:
- Treadmills
- Rowing machines
- Recumbent bicycles
- Stationary bicycles
- Elliptical
- Resistance bands
